District heat water flow fee will rise, the energy fee will fall
The district heat water flow fee will rise by 5.7% as from 1 May 2016. The average impact of the change in the water flow fee on the total price of district heat is 1.4%.
As a result of the change, the district heat water flow fee will better correspond to the increased fixed costs of heat production and distribution. The impacts of the change in water flow fee on standard buildings*:
- For a typical detached home, the price impact is EUR 2.69 per month.
- For a typical terraced home / small apartment block, the price impact is EUR 12.03 per month.
- For a typical larger apartment block, the price impact is EUR 37.13 per month and the apartment-specific price impact is about 46 cents per month.
The energy price for the summer season of district heat between 1 May and 30 September 2016 will fall by 4.3% compared with the summer season of 2015 due to a fall in fuel costs.
The prices include 24% value added tax.
