Winter price of district heat in Helsinki falls again
The price of district heat energy in Helsinki remains highly competitive. During the beginning winter season, district heat will be even more favourably priced than before.
On 1 November 2014, the energy price for the winter season will fall by 1.7 per cent compared with last spring’s winter price: after the reduction, the price of energy will be €51.05/MWh. The winter price has also fallen in the two previous winter seasons.
District heat in Helsinki has a stable price trend, and according to forecasts the energy price in 2015 will also remain competitive. The overall price of district heat in Helsinki is over 20 per cent lower than the average price in the country.
